The Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) and Fire Rescue Department have agreed upon the use of a combined Fire Alarm Annunciation/Paging System for the Miami International Airport Terminal. This combined system will provide the highest degree of capability for Fire Fighters to direct building evacuation and fire fighting operations and for MDAD and its business partners to conduct normal paging functions in the most cost effective manner. In both cases, it will enhance the intelligibility and reliability of announcements in the Terminal. The new system will also provide visual paging for the hearing-impaired.
That agreement is embodied in the Paging System Master Plan (PSMP)
.The PSMP is available to all professional consultants engaged by the Department, as well as all other interested parties. Consultants are required to use this information in their designs of projects, and now the ability to access it from this web site provides the most expeditious way to obtain the needed information with confidence that it is current. Click on the foregoing link to open the Title Page and Table of Contents (TOC) of the PSMP.
