What is the physical address of the airport?
The Airport does not have an actual street address. For driving directions, online maps and GPS location, MIA's address is 4200 NW 21 Street, Miami, FL 33122. Do you have locker storage or long-term baggage storage in your Airport?
No, passengers may only store baggage in the baggage storage facility. There is a long-term baggage storage facility available to the traveling public. It is located in the  , level 2, and operates from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Pricing is subject to baggage size.

Do you have a hotel inside the Airport?
Yes. The Hotel MIA is located in the  , level 2. The hotel phone number is 305-871-4100.

Do you have duty-free shops in your Airport?
Yes. There are duty free shops and boutiques located throughout the ,  and , and also inside concourse       .

Do you have shower facilities in the Airport?
Currently, there are no shower facilities in the airport, except in some airlines' clubs.

How much are the taxes for international flights?
Taxes are usually added to the ticket at the time of purchase. If they are not, contact your airline for the correct amount. Most airlines add a security fee to the departure tax and also an airport user fee. The security fee charged by the airlines is what will change the total of the departure tax. Please note that after September 11, 2001, an additional security tax was added to the cost of airline tickets. For additional information, please contact your airline.

 What are the Parking Options available at MIA?
There are four options

:1. Valet Parking  service is located at the Departure level (level 2),
across from American Airlines  .

The parking rate is as follows:
0 – 3 hours (first day only)

Vehicles parked in valet are limited to a maximum length of stay of twenty (20) days.

Valet offers closest parking at MIA, staring at $18 with no hidden charges or fees.
It makes sense to park at MIA!

2. Short Term Parking - consists of an upper and lower deck
located directly across from  .

$2.50 per half hour, or portion thereof to a maximum of $30 per day. Vehicles parked in short-term are limited to a maximum length of stay of twenty (20) days.
3. Long Term Parking Garages - North (Dolphin) and South (Flamingo) Garages..
The parking rate is as follows:

4. Economy Park & Ride  - $8 / Day
MIA has an economy parking area (Economy Park & Ride, view map) that is located at 1350 NW 45th Avenue, Miami, Florida, 33126 (Mapquest location map).
The parking rate in the Economy Park & Ride lot is as follows:
0 to 1 hour

All vehicles parked in the garages (long-term) are limited to a maximum stay of 60 days.
Dedicated Economy Park & Ride shuttles transport patrons from the Economy Park and Ride lot to the terminal and back for free. At the economy parking lot, Economy Park and Ride shuttles may be boarded at one of three (3) dedicated shuttle shelters. At the terminal Economy Park and Ride shuttles stop on the departure area, level two at the center median at Concourses    .
The shuttle schedule is as follows:
6 a.m.- 11 p.m.
every 10 -15 minutes
11 p.m. - 6 a.m.
every 20 - 25 minutes

5. Disabled Parking

Disabled parking is available on the first and third levels of both Flamingo and Dolphin garages. Free parking is available to disabled parking permit holders in the public parking facilities at MIA, except in valet. When you exit you must use one of our "CASH" lanes and the disabled permit holder must be in the vehicle. Present the cashier with your ticket and the following documentation:

1) The disabled parking permit holder's valid driver's license or state issued identification card.
2) Valid disabled parking permit (Blue Placard).
3) Disabled parking permit registration.
4) Flight itinerary showing date of return to MIA (if more than one day).The cashier will then fill out a special form that the permit holder must sign. You will then be able to exit for free

Sunpass Plus @ MIA
Not a SunPass Plus member? You can sign up for Easy Pay automatic replenishment using your credit card or check card. Please call 1-888-865-5352 or visit www.sunpass.com online. Select the Easy Pay replenishment option. SunPass Plus users who do not want to pay for parking at MIA with their SunPass Plus account must do the following:
  • Log on to your account at SunPass.com and under “Transponder Modifications” click on airport parking and select “Opt Out.”
  • Vehicles with a transponder affixed to the windshield should Opt Out and avoid SunPass Plus entry and exit lanes.
  • Vehicles with a removable transponder may use the Sunpass lane if prior to entry or exit, the transponder is removed and placed in the RF Shield Bag (provided by SunPass) so that the reader is unable to detect the transponder.

 Do you have “express” pay lanes at MIA?
Yes we do, but currently only in Long-term (garages). Upon exiting use one of our many “CREDIT CARD” lanes. Simply insert your ticket and then your credit card into the ATM-style machine located on the exterior of the booth, take your receipt upon completing the transaction (no signature needed), and exit. It’s quick and it’s easy.

 What can I do so that I don’t lose my ticket?
Instead of taking a ticket at the entrance to the Long-term garages you can insert your credit card at the entry ticket machine. Upon exiting simply insert the same credit card at the exit terminal, and you will be charged accordingly and allowed to exit. No need to fear losing your ticket, and when used in conjunction with our automated exit lanes exiting has never been quicker or easier.

 What happens if I park longer than 60 days in Long-term or Economy Park and Ride, or 20 days in Short-term?
Prior to reaching the 20 day or 60 day limit a letter will be sent to the registered owner of the vehicle. If we receive no response to the letter the vehicle will be towed away at the owner’s expense.

 What level would I park on at the Short Term Parking if I want to pick up a passenger at the baggage claim area?
Upper Short-term is accessible via the departures level and Lower Short-term is accessible on the arrivals level, (domestic baggage claim is located on the arrivals level - level 1), follow the signs that direct you into the lots.

International flights arrive via one of two customs areas located in either
  Central Terminal Concourse E, 1st floor or 
  South Terminal Concourse J, 3rd floor.
It is best to check with the airline before arriving at the airport.

Note: The Upper and Lower Short-term lots are very popular and have a limited number of parking spaces. If either lot is full you will have the option of parking in the North (Dolphin) and South (Flamingo) garages.  Both are the same distance from the Customs and Flamingo is closest parking area to Customs .

The North (Dolphin) garage is accessible to the   and    and is located across from Customs on both the departure or arrival level.  Where can I obtain ground transportation from Miami International Airport, via shuttle or taxi?
Taxicabs and SuperShuttle vans are available on the ground level of the terminal, outside the baggage claim area.

 During what hours is ground transportation available at Miami International Airport?
Ground transportation (via taxi and SuperShuttle) is available 24 hours per day.

 What is the cost to travel by shuttle van or taxi?  Are reservations required?
Costs vary by destination. Please refer to the rate chart under the main section of Ground Transportation, sub-section Taxi and Shuttle Services. Reservations are not required for SuperShuttle or taxicab service originating from Miami International Airport. Rates for taxi and shuttle service are also posted on the ground transportation kiosks located on the ground level of the terminal, outside the baggage claim areas. You may obtain additional information from any of the Aviation Department representatives at the curbside, dressed in blue uniforms.

 What is the telephone number for SuperShuttle?
The number for SuperShuttle information and reservations is 305-871-2000.

 What type of transportation options are available from Miami International Airport to the Port of Miami?
The services available on demand are taxi service (view rates) and SuperShuttle shared ride van service. Other options include public transportation (view routes and schedules) and pre-arranged ground transportation services, including bus and limousine. Taxi service and Super Shuttle van service are available at the airport 24 hours a day, on demand reservations for these two services are not needed.  What type of transportation options are available from Miami International Airport to Ft. Lauderdale Airport?
The services available on demand are taxi service (view rates) and SuperShuttle shared ride van service. Other options include Tri-Rail Commuter Train Service and pre-arranged ground transportation services, including bus and limousine. Taxi service and Super Shuttle van service are available at the airport 24 hours a day, on demand reservations for these two services are not needed. The Tri-Rail commuter train station is located just outside the airport. Free shuttle service to and from the train station is available the lower level Central Terminal E bus station to passengers using this service. Please contact Tri-Rail directly to inquire about the rates and schedules for the train service.  Is there convenient transportation available to Orlando?
Yes.  There are many ground transportation companies that provide daily service from the Miami Airport to Orlando. You may also refer to the list of MIA authorized Ground Transportation service providers. 

 How can I obtain information regarding the Tri-Rail Commuter Train to travel between Miami and Palm Beach?
Based on zone travel, round trip prices range on Tri-Rail from $3.50 to $9.25 (reduced prices for senior citizens, students, children ages 5-12, disabled passengers and Medicare recipients.) For additional information regarding rates and train schedules, you may contact them toll-free at 1-800-TRI-RAIL, 1-800-273-7545 (TTY), or online at www.TRI-RAIL.com.

 Is there a bus service to Orlando from MIA?
Yes. Several companies offer service to Orlando from MIA. Contact the Information Counter in the level 2, or call the Information Line at 305-876-7000 or 1-800-TALK-MIA for more information. For more information, check here.

 Is there convenient transportation available to Key West and other destinations in the Florida Keys?
TransFloridian provides economical scheduled daily motor-coach service to several destinations in the Florida Keys, including Islamorada, Key Largo, Marathon and Key West. Seats on these motor-coaches are comparable to airline Business Class seating and offer such features as armrests, foot rests, folding tray tables, etc. TransFloridian offers full onboard meal and beverage services as well. Other transportation options to the Florida Keys include Greyhound Bus Service and taxi service. NOTE: Taxi service to the Florida Keys is expensive because it is charged at a metered rate.
